October 14, 1964 - August 19, 2012

Deborah Schutzendorf Gregg died on August 19, 2012 at home with her family and dear friends by her side. She had battled brain cancer since January 2008 and died as she lived her life with gusto, dignity and grace.Deborah was born in DeLand, Florida on October 14, 1964 but spent most of her life in Cazenovia, NY. She dearly loved her family, friends, animals, gardening and tennis.
Deborah lived for a few years in Cooperstown where she was a member of the Cooperstown Garden Club and the SPCA.
In Cazenovia she contributed actively to the community and gave her time and talent to so many programs but especially the Cazenovia Garden Club, the Cazenovia Club and the USTA.
Deborah is survived by her mother, Pamela Blom (Andrew Swatkovsky); her father, Gordon Schutzendorf (Stephanie); two beautiful daughters, Pamela and Holland Townsend; her husband, Dennis Gregg, the Gregg children, Alex, Charlie, Julie and Laura and four siblings, Jennifer Schutzendorf, Audrey (Raj) Chivukula, Sarah (Jordon) White, and Peter Seabrook. She cherished her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom were a part of a very close and loving family.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Presbyterian Church, Albany Street, Cazenovia, NY at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to "Debbie's Brain Cancer Research Fund" - Upstate Medical University Foundation, 750 East Adams Street-CAB 326, Syracuse, NY 13210 or Wanderer's Rest, Canastota, NY.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of Central NY for their caring and professional staff. What a blessing for all of us.
